Early top stories include, beating Man Utd away 0-2 in the 1930 FA Cup 3rd Round, and thrashing Newport 8-0 in 1938. Coverage continues after the war including the 2-4 away win at Norwich in 1956 and beating Shrewsbury in 1963 to gain promotion to Division 2. Relive the excitement of 1969: gaining promotion to Division 2 and of course beating Arsenal 3-1 to secure the League Cup. Read about the 32,000 record attendance at the County Ground against Arsenal in 1972, the 5-0 domination of Fulham in 1977 and the turbulent events around the 1990 promotion to Division 2 to be taken away over the irregular payment scandal, to be reinstated on appeal. More recent games are also covered including promotion to the Premiership in 1993.
Newspaper coverage continues right up to the end of last season. A unique and wonderful gift and must have for all Swindon fans.
